Annual Summit & Awards to spotlight and showcase untapped Talent Pool in Scotland. The Scottish Black Talent Summit (now Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit), held in 2023, marked a significant milestone in our efforts to bridge the talent gap in Scotland and promote diversity in the workforce. This two-day hiring and networking event was designed to bring together Black talent, talent acquisition and HR professionals, diversity and inclusion experts, industry leaders, government, and local authority representatives, as well as members of university communities. The 2023 summit experienced remarkable growth compared to the previous year. While in 2022, the summit hosted 10 exhibitors and approximately 120 delegates, 2023 saw a significant increase with 20 exhibitors in attendance and 332 registered delegates. The summit fostered an environment conducive to networking, learning, and collaboration.

With a background in Computer Science, I completed my B.Sc. at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Edinburgh, earning M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. I joined Public Health Scotland as an Information Analyst. Enrolling in the PDA in Data Science program in 2022, I expanded my skills and knowledge, which significantly contributed to my promotion to Senior Information Analyst.
