About the Role
As a Project Manager Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of The DataKirk’s projects and programmes. You will be responsible for:
- Project Management:
- Overseeing the entire project lifecycle from planning and initiation to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
- Tracking project progress and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Volunteer Coordination:
- Recruiting, onboarding, and training volunteers for various projects.
- Assigning volunteers to tasks based on their skills and interests.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to volunteers.
- Promoting a positive and engaging volunteer experience.
- Resource Management:
- Identifying and allocating resources to ensure project success.
- Ensuring efficient utilization of resources throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Maintaining clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders.
- Fostering a collaborative work environment and building strong relationships with volunteers.
- Preparing reports and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes.
We are looking for a volunteer who is:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent project management skills.
- A strong communicator with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers.
- Adept at problem-solving and resourceful in finding solutions.
- A team player with a positive and can-do attitude.
- Proficient in basic project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana).
