The Datakirk employability support programme continues to make significant strides in empowering job seekers with the skills and confidence they need to excel in the competitive job market. On 27 June 2024, we hosted the “Crafting a Winning CV” workshop at the Heart FC Innovation Centre in Edinburgh. The workshop brought together 15 enthusiastic participants from Glasgow, Stirling, and Edinburgh for a day filled with learning, networking, and personalized support.
Workshop Highlights
Engaging Sessions and Personal Connections
The event featured an inspiring session where three engineers, struggling to find work in the UK, had the opportunity to connect with marine engineer Oluwajuwonlo Olubunmi – “Many migrants face several barriers as they struggle to access opportunities in the UK labour market. The problem is not the system, the problem is the level of our requirement consciousness”. His compelling story of overcoming career challenges resonated deeply with the participants, providing them with tailored advice and practical tips. This session left attendees buzzing with hope and clear direction.
Free Immigration Surgery
In addition to the workshop, Fash Fasoro – Datakirk CEO offered a free immigration surgery, providing crucial 1-on-1 support. This service addressed individual concerns and helped clear the path forward for many attendees.

The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, underscoring the impact of the workshop:
