On 20th June 2024, Datakirk/AccelerateBLK hosted its inaugural in-person employability support programme aimed at assisting ethnic community members. This 5-hour long workshop held at Heart of Midlothian Football Club Tynecastle Edinburgh, welcomed participants from various career stages, including students, in-work professionals, unemployed individuals, PhD research students, and underemployed individuals. The programme is part of Datakirk’s efforts to build a talent pool equipped with in-demand industry skills and help the community understand the requirements necessary for launching successful careers.
In attendance were 20 enthusiastic participants who engaged in various activities designed to enhance their employability skills.

The inaugural workshop of the Datakirk employability support programme was a resounding success. The positive feedback from participants highlights the effectiveness of the programme in enhancing employability skills and fostering community connections. Datakirk is committed to continuing this initiative every Thursday, offering comprehensive support ranging from skillset audits to CV writing, cover letter guidance, and understanding selection criteria.
Our focus is to help the nation achieve its inclusive and diverse workforce objectives by providing high industry demand skills to talents who are ready to begin or transit their journey in the labour market.
